Our future is at risk. The most recent IPCC report on climate change states that this is code red for humanity. We're witnessing devastating fires in Turkey and fatal flooding across Europe.
People are demanding change, and yet our politicians still drag their feet.
We know that there is no climate justice without social justice, and for that reason we will be championing a clear Green New Deal that will keep us below 1.5 degrees of warming whilst - hand in hand - tackling the inequalities in our society.
We will stand alongside young people, communities of colour, and those left behind by successive austerity governments to campaign for a just transition so that everyone can profit from our Green future.
But we can’t just campaign for it. We need elected representatives in our councils and Parliaments to ensure we have secure policy for our generation, and for generations to come. We must hold governments and the other parties to account for their greenwash, weak words, and failed targets.
The Green Party is the only national organisation that can do this, and we are the Leaders who can take us there.
